The Belltower is a concert venue birthed from the ashes of a run-down church that is spearheading a musical revival in Pullman. Its location on downtown Pullman's Main Street is just a short (and thankfully downhill) walk from campus and even closer to the bulk of Pullman's residential areas.
What will I see at the Belltower?
Part of what makes the Belltower so special, is the diversity of musical talent it brings to the area. Small local bands seem to get the majority of the stage time, which has helped to cultivate the burgeoning musical scene in Pullman. However, that hasn't stopped the Belltower from bringing in some heavy-hitters in the musical world. Notable Belltower alums include the alt-rock group STRFKR and the hip-hop duo, the Blue Scholars. Both bands have played the Belltower within the last six months.
What should I bring?
Friends are a must for belltower events. Make sure you show up early though, as seating is extremely sparse. If you don't mind standing though, there's plenty of space. Also, remember to bring a few extra bucks for snacks and beverages, which are reasonably priced but take a while to get due to the long lines. The venue features a full bar, so come prepared to have a good time.
How much are tickets?
Ticket prices vary with each concert, but are generally well-priced. The Blue Scholars were $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Most lesser-known acts hover between $8-10.
